Hi Mikael,

The only thing axis I have seen was a propblade from a Messerschmitt 109 inscribed with some names, probably was a trophy.

The good news is that the engines of the Halifax haven't been scrapped (thanks for that) and will be put on display again soon, same goes for the complete nosesection of the Liberator that was recovered from the IJsselmeer in 1975.

It helps wandering off the paths and start looking through windows etc. Work was carried out on a GRP Spitfire IX and the restoration of a Fokker CX was seen with wingribs hanging from the ceiling and corroded tubing on the workbench. I couldn't stop myself from looking in the rubbish container and took out a lot of couplings bolts etc. Not bad if I say so myself. Anyway it was an enjoyable visit altogether. Wish the staff would be more knowledgable though, the chap I spoke did not know what a Halifax was (ouch)
