Hi Mike,
When I first read your request, I thought that you were asking about any survivors of the original DH-82 Tiger Moth, not DH-82a or DH-82C. If I recall rightly, the straight DH-82 Tiger had a fuselage frame simply made out of wood. The 'a' came about when they redesigned it to have a steel fuselage frame, due to the number of fatalities from accidents. Please note that I have only heard about this recently, so is not guaranteed to be correct, and besides, I don't follow the old Tiger too closely! The 'C' is a Canadian built variant, which also had some pecularities compared to the rest of the breed.
Now that other people have posted, it seems that you were interested in survivors in general. I don't know exact numbers, but there are in the order of 200 odd survivors here in Australia.
As an aside, do any original DH-82 Tigers still exist? Anyone?

Cheers,
Matt
