Yep, that is incontestably an F6F. One of the wheels can be seen in its 90-degree flat position, and the canopy rails either side of the razorback spine are most unTiffylike. An F6F is less rare than a Typhoon, but it's still a pity that this very substantial hulk met the axe. (BTW I wonder how many other wrecks have been recovered still bearing the full invasion stripes? Though much-replicated, those markings in full form didn't usually last very long originally.)
