Elliott,
As promised I looked into the possible case of a Whitley that buried itself into soft ground in the north eastern part of the Netherlands.
The aicraft I told you about is not a Whitley but a Hampden. But I have found a Whitley that crashed into county Friesland and the cockpit came down in a canalor ditch.
I do have the general area where it came down. Will mail you the identity of the aircraft this evening when I get home.
Cheers
Cees
