Tempest update 1...

Just posted some update piccies of EJ693 on Webshots if you're interested. Current progress has seen the chin cowl nose skins fitted, radiator access doors skinned and fitted, engine mounted top cowl rail replicated and fitted and numerous cowl fixing brackets made. As you can see from the last pic the canopy is completed, this is the original canopy from the a/c as far as I can tell as it shows no signs of being from the Tempest II parts being used in other parts of the restoration. I visited Cosford last week to return the parts we had borrowed, they are making progress on both the Tempest and ME163, I have pictures of both if anybody is interested. The Tempest should be suspended from the roof of the new building at Hendon next year if all goes well, it will be finished in a TT.5 scheme, I pity the poor lad spraying all those lines on the underside ;)

BTW if I don't reply to any of your posts drop me an e-mail as I'm taking the wee lass home to Norfolk with me tomporrow (friday) and I doubt I'll get much 'surftime' with all the baby picture viewing there will be going on, oh the shame of it all, I'll never live it down :(
