I was involved with the recovery and it is interesting that the impression gained was that for a wreck to be in such a compact state was unusual. In fact, it was simply unusual that the wreck was painstakingly removed over three days and thus it was possible to see the wreck in its entirity. In the past it has been usual to pull these things out piecemeal in a fairly short time. On this ocasion it was done with a little more tlc! Yes, I know where the wreck is now. Contact me off-board and I will pass details to you. As a matter of interest, another wreck (a Hurricane) is being dug out for the TV cameras in France tomorrow with the pilot in attendance. Watch for details which will emerge in due course. Andy Saunders.
