Does anyone know the fate of the three Avro Lincoln Freighters sent to Paraguay in the 1950's? They were carrying meat and car parts around the country for a few years then they just...disappeared. Did they get sold to the Argentinians, or were they just left somewhere in disgust when the spares ran out? Nothing ever seems to get scrapped out there , maybe they are still around.
The other thing that is bothering me is PA474's mid-upper turret. It was donated to the RAF by the Argentinians in the 1970's, complete.Where did they find it, or more importantly, wheres the rest of it??!!
Thanks,
Richard
