The Dragon and his Tail is undoubtedly the most famous B-24 to serve in the Pacific Theatre. The crew commissioned that artwork because the image of dragon was sacred in Japan and they knew it would draw the ire of the Japanese pilots who tried futily to bring it down. When the whole story is told, the fact that the Collins Foundation chose that aircraft for reproduction is one of the best tributes to all the aircrew in WWII. The aircraft was also highly controversial in WWII so nothing has changed much.

My suggestion is ignore those who want to remove this piece of WWI historical artwork and let this thing blow over. If you do cave in to PC, at least make last until the next normal overhaul cycle and find another equally fitting subject for reproduction.
