P38, P80, T33 similarity?

I was looking at a T33 the other day and couldn't help but notice a certain similarity between the nose/cockpit section of it and that of a P38. Do they just look similar or do they share the same components/design or am i going blind?
It was probably the discussion about the Supermarine Attacker and Seafang recently, that got me thinking. How many common components do the P38 and P80/T33 family have?
