Indeed excellent tribute.
On the British side of the Atlantic the moment of silence was countrywide. Both my young Mk 1 & Mk 2 daughters went to school assembly for the silence. I work on an airfield and the tannoy signalled the start and end. Everyone was quiet and it was amazing to see all the air and ground crew heads bowed on the dispersal.

Last year, I spent September 10th having a superb brunch up the Space Needle in Seattle watching the Beaver floatplanes and assorted other GA pleasure flying around that beautiful city. I was at a flight test symposium that started on the 11th. The shock, horror, anger, devastating sadness and finally unity I saw and experienced was amazing.

My feelings are with you all at this moment and especially the fallen and their families.

I agree with Karen that all the victims and their families matter, WTC employees, brave rescue personnel (fire, police medics) airline crews, passengers and Pentagon people.

We had an incredibly moving documentary about Flight 93....the bravery of the crew and innocnet passengers was awesome...heros.

The warbird salute was a great gesture.
