: I am interested in what people would like to see most in a

: develop a new one.
There are many aspects of vintage aircraft that are severly overlooked by today's magazines. The European magazines have a firm command over the best reporting and photography. Our magazines in the US have almost gotten cynical in airshow and restoration reporting. While most magazines have great articles and photos it takes a small bank roll every month to buy 5-6 magazines to get all the news and updates. Here is what I would feature.
1. Give pilots a camera to shoot airborne "from the cockpit" shots ( I now know it can be done ;) )
2. Dispatch a traveling airshow editor with a fresh opinion...unlike other rags that have gotten almost cynical about airshow reporting U.S. anyway.
3. Interview owners and delve into thier perspective of ownership and historical context.
4. NEWS NEWS NEWS...nothing happens fast in aviation but even the smallest update...or interesting photograph will sell a magazine.
5. An aviation archeology section is a must...then and now shots of old bases, crash sites and interviews with witnesses are lacking in todays publications. F/P does a pretty good job...but for the most part it is a side story.
6. Tap former "ground pounders" (and I say that with the utmost in respect) for stories and experiences while in service...before it is too late. They have gone overlooked for wayy too long.
7. Period style photography with modern restorations
8. Disect a modern restoration for each individual type of a/c ...a start to finish retrospective...there are plenty of aircraft around the globe to fill this niche.
9. News News News :)
