I just got a photo for my site some days ago of the CR 42 for the Italian air force museum (www.algonet.se/~molrog/) and as you can see the engine is on and progress on skinning the aircraft is good.
I think that the TFC aircraft will incorporate original parts. SOme are reported to be from Sweden and some from France. As usuall when making a flyable restoration, a lot of the material will be new so I think that it will be easy to end up in a discussion what is/what isn't a genuine warbird.

: To all,
:
: Whilst flicking through the latest Flypast I came across a
: news item about a Fiat CR-42 undergoing a static restorat
: ion in Italy for the Italian Airforce Museum. It also ment
: ions that this now brings the total of extant CR-42's up t
: o 3, one at the RAF Museum Hendon, one at the Swedish Air
: Force Museum, and the one shown.
:
: Now I thought there was another example undergoing restora
: tion to airworthy status also in Italy for the TFC.
:
: Does this mean that the TFC example is not original ??

: All comments welcome
