I once promised my girlfriend that I would stop playing with vintage aircraft once my two projects were complete. This duly happened in 1989 and 1995, but fortunately she had changed boyfriend in 1985. My wife can't tell a Spitfire froma Hurricane and a captain from a colonel, but she finds that spending all my time with aeroplanes leaves me very little for pubs and dumb blondes. A reasonable compromise, perhaps?
