I certainly don't believe that the aircraft would be destroyed [ I said that 'tongue 'n cheek '] , and we certainly have a lot to thank India for as far as saving vintage aircraft goes .. perhaps transfer to your national museum is a possibility though ...
The magazines... of course , if they are presented with the story and have cleared it with the people involved , they shoulder no blame.
I know for a fact that some collectors have been aware of the existence of this aircraft for several years , although not the location , but fortunately those people are willing to help the current owner with parts etc. Unfortunately , as you say ,the information also allows the 'vultures ' of the collector world to get involved as well ....
