Ok Cees

AFAIK, the current status of Hornets in the UK is as follows:

David Collins is building a cockpit section using some original parts, with new wood etc. He has collected most of the interior stuff now, and I have just helped out with some Vampire rudder pedals and a few other bits.

Stuart Reeve, based somewhere around Panshangar has been looking into the possibilities of building a flying replica, using as many original bits as possible, and has also surveyed that chunk in Canada.

Mark Reeder has collected a number of parts up in Scotland, including one of the rear fuselages previously held by MAM. I dont think he has done much as far as building aircraft is concerned yet though. The intention was that one day, the resulting craft would be displayed at the museum. Dunno where we would put it though!

The museum has the rear fuselage of VX250 still on display, as well as a sectioned U/C leg. They also have a nacelle section and a rudder in poor condition.

I know of six Hornet engines, in variously Essex, Buckinghamshire, Australia and Iceland. I also know of some engine panels in Essex

Thats about it as far as I have been able to discover, but those people that are actively looking for stuff probably know better.

All the best

Bruce
