This is the 30 Aug posting on the webpage:

In the past few weeks we have been working hard on the new #1 engine and getting our aircraft certified. The engine runs satisfactory and we recently received the necessary Airworthiness Certificate. Therefore we tried to finish everything in time, but a number of small problems or items took a lot of time. Among others, we have been focusing ourselves on the timing of the engines. Without it the engines do not run well and it is difficult to spot possible problems with the analyzer. With the analyzer you can see the 'heart beat' of the engine and, in case of a problem, see which cylinder has to be checked and what the defect possibly is. Certainly with more than 25 flight hours the Constellation has to be in perfect condition.

Although we get a lot of questions and requests on the date of our departure (and off course our arrival), we do not have a definitive date yet. Moreover during the flight to the Netherlands problems can still emerge and delay our arrival. Therefore we have chosen the route with care. The first leg to Kansas City is approximately 5 hours during which we get a good picture of the behaviour of the aircraft. The longest leg, more than 9 hours, is to Goose Bay completely over land. The other legs to Iceland and England or the Netherlands are approximately 6 hours.

We had the intention to make our arrival at the Airshow Lelystad on Saturday 31st August, but unfortunately we will not make it anymore. We are working with the motto: "better safe than sorry".
