Lancaster FM212

Hello Chaps.
First let me thank you for looking at this post. If everyon puts pen to paper and gives 'em hell this can be the next lancaster restored to taxiing condition....
Just an update on poor old 212. The engineer has now finished the metal repair work to her port and stbd ailerons and these are now awaiting covering in fabric and dope before being painted and then reinstalled. These have been off of the aircraft for 2 years and make the overall condition of the plane look worse than it is.
An update to the calgary machine is that the interior of the cockpit is in immaculate condition and for anyone who would like to see the pics please let me know and i will post them here. The outer paintwork does look deplorable and the birds are once again nesting in the aircraft. The centre section floor has been replaced and looks better than new and awaits reskinning in order to be complete. Interestingly the bombdoors are from a Lancaster that was used for parts on a farm at pigeon lake(KB994? the one at north weald?)
Once again if everyone that views this post could join in and write a letter we would very much appreciate it.
Cheers,
Peter
