: One difference between the Griffon 60-series and the 58 is
: that the former have a Coffmann cartridge starter and the
: latter has an electric starter.
:
: I believe (I don?t know for sure) that Griffon-Spits which
: had a RG58 substituted for the original took the whole pa
: ckage including the electric starter.
: Am I right on that one?
Yes
:
: Have more Griffon-Spits been modified to take the RG58 oth
: er than the BBMF PM631 and PS915, the R-R PS853 and the Po
: F PS890?
There was also one in the RR Mk14 which crashed, and there is one in the RNHF Firefly. The PoF aircraft clearly does not have the mod to take the Rotol prop.
:
: Griffon-Spits still powered by the original 60-series engi
: ne, do they still have the cartridge starter or have any o
: f them been modified with an electric starter.
All have electric starters (ex Shack)
:
Hope that helps
Bruce
