Niedersachsische Motorenwerke: Still extant?

Hello All,
Does anyone know if the Niedersachsische Motorenwerke is still extant under another name?
If not, where might have their archives ended up?
I really hope I don't get "They were right in the path of the Red Army advance and everything got packed up and sent to Siberia after the war". That would be too depressing. Oh well. If I ever visit Moscow, I'll have something to look around for....
