Reading my thoughts again, are you? ;)

Something in this story simply does not add up. BoB veteran sent to a training unit (Erg?nzungsgruppe)... makes sense for an E-1, since it only had the 4x MG17s. But then having it found in North Africa? There were no training units in North Africa... as I mentioned elsewhere, only two Emil-equipped units operated in North Africa, 7./JG26 (which was outfitted with E-4s and E-7s) and I./JG27 (which had the same models). Did the Brits find Emils in NA? Undoubtedly. But a lightly-gunned E-1? I have significant doubts. Also, RAF Emils which were made airworthy are fairly well documented (AE479 leaps immediately to mind), and I think we'd have heard about this elsewhere.
So yes, I definitely believe that Flypast has gotten some wires crossed somewhere... but I'm certainly willing to change my tune in the face of undisputable proof (i.e. a CEAR)!
