The aircraft in question reputedly fought in the Battle of Britain, and the served a German fighter training school. It was then issued for operational service in North Africa, where is was captured and painted in RAF roudels. It was gifted to India, and continued to fly until grounded after a belly landing. It was then gifted to the technical college and has now been aquired by a "Preservation Group."
Has this provided any clues?
