I do know that Connie just has a single two seater.
I believe Hispano originally produced only two of the Merlin Powered trainers. Only one survives, and that is the one that Connie has. From what I understand, the other one was scrapped in Spain.
I would venture to guess that Connie still has about 25-30 airplanes. All but one of the P-51's have been sold. There is probably still 5 or 6 messerschmitts in the hangers.
Alot of people don't realize that a vast majority of the Hispano's that survive today are still with us because of Connie. The EAA museum's, Tillamook's, and the four 109's that the CAF has owned over the years were all Connie's at one time. In addition to the ones in the hanger, he has another 4 or so sitting out back of the ranch still in the shipping container. They have been there since about 1970 and never were put on the FAA register. As far as I can tell, they have never been put on any of the survivor listings for the type. But, I know they are there.
