This is a ploy to verify that your e-mail address is valid! If you respond, they know they have a valid target for additional spamming.

Outlook 2000 allows you to redirect these things to the porno trash can automatically, but you have to have received it once from that source and identify it as porn. If they use a new return address (some never use the same one twice), it will get through.

Maybe you could just buy your kids porno films and desensitize them from this kind of thing? :-(

How savvy are your kids with computers? You might be able to set up an e-mail address just for them and set up the "rules" system to trash anything from an e-mail address that is not one of their friend's whose address you have previously identified. If your kids are computer savvy though, they may be able to disable this feature.

By the way, you can set up Outlook Express so that you see the subject line only, not the body of the text. That way you would have to open the e-mail message to view it.
