Looks like John Silberman sold his parts plane. Finding a center wing section is going to be harder than Mr. Shepard has probably imagined. He did receive the plane from Tom Reiley's facility though, so he most likely knows that in a worst case scenario a new unit could probably be manufactured.
For those who don't know, this was the plane that lost its engine and suffered a forced landing in Texas back in 1984 (never FLY a plane to the shop to fix a sick engine). Since then it has served as a parts source for Pete Thelen's F4U-5 project in the late 1980's (now with James Read), Bob Collings F4U-5 in the early 1990's (the original retoration before the water landing), then for John Silberman's "F4U-4" composite project (sold earlier this year to Jim Frye).
Tulio, this was Honduran F4U-5N #604 - one of the airworthy planes flown up from Tegucigalpa during 1979. Hopefully Mr. Shepard will find a way to get her flying again. I'm sure there are more than a few small parts missing after a three-time stint as a parts source :)
