: Peter W. Cohausz in his book Deutsche Flugzeuge bis 1945, Aviatic Verlag 2001, has the following information on Mr. Wagner and his projects:
"Bf109G-14/AS, werknummer....345 or 784993. Amongst the many aircraft lost during Operation Bodenplatte on 1-1-1945 was Weisse 13 of IV/JG53 that made a belly-landing in the vicinity of Felsberg/Saar. It seems that the pilot was taken prisoner by US troops. The aircraft was for a while used as a plaything by local youth until a farmer pulled it into a ditch and covered it. In 1987 the aircraft was recovered by Raymond Wagner form Spiesen/Elversberg. The result of the exvation was quitte disappointing as only the wings and fuselage-centresection of this Regensburg built 109 remained.
After the recovery the remains were used to form the basis for the reproduction (Nachbau in German) of a Bf109G-14/AS that was started by mr. Wagner. After the fuselage, including equipment, was more or less completed mr. Wagner turned his attention to the construction of an airworthy reproduction of a Bf109K.
Besides building the K mr. Wagner also built 2 Bf109G fuselages which he intented to swap for parts. One of these fuselages went to Baden, in the vicinity of Vienna in Austria. The other went to the aviation museum in Laatzen-hannover. After the museum at Laatzen acquired 2 Bf109G wings the fuselage and wings are now being rebuilt to form a complete airframe for a new museum in San Carlos, Brasil"
Hope this helps.
