Please don't say "scrap"

No disrespect indended.
Not too long ago the word "scrap" was used quite liberally with the aircraft, engines, and other bits and pieces that people are desperate for now. I think anything that can be saved should be saved whenever possible.
What application was the Griffon 58 series used in?
