Hey Bob,

If you get a chance, make your way over to New Syrnma Beach, Just south of Daytona. IF you plan a KSC run, then just take US 1 north. When you get north of HWY 44, you will see the airport on the west side of US 1. Just north of the field, you will have a road that goes west. Just about 500 yards down is a hanger set up. That is George Baker's restoration shop. It has been a few years since I had a chance to visit, but the Dave Norland Mustang was there, as was Charlie Hillards Fury after it was turned over. The restoration of the Fury is long since done, and flying. The Corsair that the Collins Foundation had unfortunately end up in the Atlantic was there for a while. Not sure if they are still doing that restoration or not. Depending on the day, you will see any number of other warbirds in for annuals and the like. I have seen, and have pictures of several T-28s, T-6s, T-34s, B-25s, B-17s, a Skyraider, several DC-3s, and a couple of Albatrosses.

Gene McNeely had his T-6 there for a while, but I am not sure where it is now, as he is doing airshows with a couple other T-6s. There were a few twin otters there as well. Who knows what all is around there right now. But if you get a chance to swing by, then post what you find.

Oh yeah, they used to have a sign which read in essence, look around all you want, but please don't bother the help. Really nice people there.
