I would say it depends on who is doing the trading. Very likely, the Brewster would go to the US Navy Museum in Pensacola. This in turn means that the USN is/was interested in the deal, and they can, as the USAF has in the past, access their storage facilities for any aircraft they have that is surplus to needs, and use it in the trading. The Finns had a Brewster, the Americans have Orions.

Another possibility is that the Orions will be used to trade for another warbird, one that the Finns have wanted for some time, and not having the money to buy it outright, have made a deal with the owner, and so on . . .

I would say that the rule for warbird business, is that there are no rules.

Saludos!
