Same here. I get very upset when I attend airshows where there's jets. They try to get everything in the air at once and you never get to hear what the old planes sound like. There should be a no jet rule.

: But what about the DB 603, can we get one of these into th

: , wasn't it? And we would need to get a Ju 87 in the air t
: o hear the Jumo 211...

The Fw190D-14 and D-15 were to have the DB 603, though I don't know if any were built. (I've only seen one photo of a possible D-15.) I felt that if Jumo 213s were unobtainable, then the perhaps one of the FlugWerk examples could be converted to a D-14.

Maybe another DB 603-powered Me410 will be recovered some day and made airworthy. That's another sight I'm hoping for.

As far as the Jumo 211, I think we'll hear one in a He 111 berfore a Stuka flies again. The 211 being rebuilt at MotoBende certainly looks as if it's going to be airworthy. Are there any airworthy He 111 projects currently? Or maybe one day the CAF will be brave enough to convert their example to Jumos.
