That would indeed be good news. I will keep my eyes and ears peeled. If I am aware of it being up, I will pass on word.

On the other hand, given some of Tom's comments about SL721, perhaps it would be better if Potter took his time with this one, tightening up those loose joints and all the rest. It would be a tragedy if he rushed it back into the air, only to have another accident. The next time he might not be so lucky. Beer might be the last thing on his mind. Oh well, to be lucky enought to have the money to put myself into a position to have to make a decision like that: to fly my Spitfire or not!

Back to my ordinary life.

p.s. any idea what Ottawa based company is doing the repairs? Unless he is paying the Canada Aviation Museum to do it, I can't imagine who around here would have the expertise to properly overhaul a Spitfire. And I certainly didn't see the Spitfire lurking at the museum when the hangers were opened for Canada Day.
