80 to 85% gets my vote to. But I would also say that as long as the parts come from original stock (not necessarily that aircraft)its ok. Static rebuilders can achieve this figure with a bit of care/make do & mend!
Flying aircraft will no way achieve this, nor should they be expected to. Many aircraft currently flying have less that 15 to 20% original material in them. But that is the (small) price we pay to see these beauties in the air. When an aircraft is rebuilt to fly, it is great when the restorer provides his 'scrap' to an individual/group/museum as those parts can be used to create an 'original' stock static to sit in a museum. Just my tenpennyworth but I have benefitted from kind restorers and will add to the warbird population!
