Speaking of rare/extinct warbirds....

I was looking at the Fleet Air Arm Archive website, when i came across a bit about the Defiant. I didn't even know they had used Defiants. It mentioned the successful ditching of Defiant L7035 in the Moray Firth, somewhere quite close to shore and in relatively shallow water.
Has anybody ever looked for this?
It also mentioned the last target tug Defiants being used until 1946 in Pomigliano and Trincomalee. Now, i have absolutely no idea where these places are (cue readers who do) but they sound foreign (mediterranean?). Is there any chance they survive?
Cheers
Stuart
PS I still think the mystery Indian find could be a Defiant.
And then there were two!
