I was told recently that this a/c was in fact transported back to Hawaii where this organisation is based. The airframe was supposedly dismantled and the remains of the crew members recovered, much like the 'on site' PV-2 recovery shown on Channel 4 here in the UK recently. What is being done with the remains of the a/c is unknown to me, anyone else?
