Hi Paul,
Might be able to help out a little bit here. The Spit Vc., I believe to be either one of two. One is now on static display at the South Australian Aviation Museum, on loan from its owner, Langdon Badger. The other possible is JG891 (I think that's what she is!), that was owned by Don Subritzky in N.Z., but is now owned by Karel Bos, to keep being restored to airworthy.
With the Corsair, I really have no idea, but I'd suggest that she's still sitting at Jacquinot Bay. She apparently had a CAC Wirraway (my passion :-)...) placed on the rear fuselage, and which subsequently caught fire. Consequently, the rear fuse. of the Corsair would like be in pretty terrible condition. Yet another reason why she's probably still there, is because of the difficulties in recovering stuff from the region.
Hope this might help a bit.
Cheers,
Matt
