We have been in contact with the keeper of the nature reserve the aircraft crashed in, and received permission to visit the site again in the beginning of september.
So, if things go our way, we will get our pants wet on saturday september 7th, to see what's still left in the lake.
During October they will start work on deepening both lakes (look at the map) which means that the sand they will remove will be dumped somewhere. We will make arrangements with the keeper that we can be present during these activities and make sure everything left of N1521 will be secured. We don't know if parts of it also came down in the larger of the two lakes.
The tailgunner is still missing, so you'll never know what might turn up. I will keep you up to date about any developments.
