Hi Paul,

If you mean L6417 of No.4 AOS, crashed on 28/08/41, then it crashed during a gale into water too shallow for the Porthdinllaen motor life-boat to operate. The wreckage was pushed further ashore by wind and tide during the local rescue attempts.

All three Polish crew drowned. Sgt Rosiewicz's body was washed ashore on 11 September 1941 and he was buried at Holyhead, Anglesey.

Not much was left of this one in 1941.
