I believe that pic is either from Charles Darby's book or is a wartime photo. I have a similar wartime photo of 1426. I also have pictures of this taken in 1984, by a retired from the RAAF Australian. I was researching Marauders in 1990-92. The pics show that the bird is missing some panels from the fuselage but otherwise is as it was in 1942. The nose section could not be found. Thank you for this post, 1426 for the past 12 years has been one of my dream warbird recoveries. I was in contact ten years ago with the navigator of this bird and I regret that I didn't pursue getting some photos from him. This is the last Marauder!!!!!!!
