If you look at it, in the past India has the contributed the following
5 Liberators 5 Tempest IIs (maybe more) 11 Tigermoths 19 Spitfires and 1 Hurricane (Not to mention other civvie warbirds like Dakotas etc)
Not a bad lot over the years - Though I dont know what else will turn up in the future, I am quite sure there are a number of unexplored places. and this country is vast!
A good place to start would be the IAF dumps at kanpur and sulur. Though no liberators or WW2 aircraft were reported here, the towns in and around are hosts to a number of scrap merchants. Atleast in terms of spares and parts it should be a great deal.
This bit about the Japanese Zero in the Andamans. It is from a 12 year old news report about the 'remains' of a Zero fighter preserved at the Indian Naval Base on Kamorta Island. Now this place is not even the main andaman islands and would be a difficult place to visit even for Indian citizens (Andamans themselves are a restricted place due to the tribals living in those islands and the need to keep them isolated from trappings of civlisation)
More later when things come out.

PS: Apologies for not participating on a regular basis, especially after so much discussion on 'Mystery' birds from India took place. I can only state work commitments/website commitments as an excuse! Also apologies in advance that i cant talk much about the new warbird due to reasons already mentioned by Tony.
