Someone forwarded me this message this morning, and I thought I'd put it out here to see if any of the good folks on the board might be able to assist with their request.

Since many on the Hazmat-WMD list are former or present military personnel, I feel it is appropriate to let you know of an opportunity one of your organizations might have in conjunction with, perhaps, a civilian company. I see a wonderful opportunity to say a special thank you to our WWII and Cold War vets and others by helping to restore one of the two remaining Air Force Boeing C-97Gs. The plane is now housed in Hangar B at Floyd Bennett Field in Brooklyn NYC.
Three P&W 4360 engines are still at the Houston, Texas Airport and are looking for a way to "go home". Each on weighs about 6,000 pounds.
I believe the transport of these engines offers someone, some organization, and/or some company opportunities to foster pride and appreciation to those who paid for the present freedoms we benefit from.
To me the delivery of these engines to home of the next to last C-97G has national interest value.
If you or someone you know might have the ability to be a blessing to our nation is this manner I would encourage you to contact the Berlin Airlift Historical Foundation.
