:I also wish to add my congratulations to the Norwegian team who have put a Fairchild trainer back in Norwegian skies for the first time for 40 years. Please post more pictures when available!

This PT-19B previously belonged to Joe Denest, who has restored many examples of the marque. You may have noted the family name amongst the recent awards at Oshkosh, re: PT-26 FH950.

A small point to add -- strictly speaking the Norwegian Fairchild Trainers used at "Little Norway" and Winkleigh in Devon, etc., were M-62A (36 off)and various marks of the Lend-Lease PT-26 (50 off). The first 36 were purchased direct from Fairchild (many paid for by donations) and as such they were not offsets from USAAC orders. The correct designation would be "M-62A", rather than "PT-19". I understand the R Norwegian AF referred to them, post-war, as PT-19 -- but this is not strictly correct.

There was an N-registered PT-19B based at Dunkeswell, UK. It was advertised for sale last year and I have no knowledge of whether it is still active or even in this country.
