Hi Peter--
This sounds like one of 428 Sqn's Lancs, which returned to Canada in mid-1945 sporting assorted nose art, much of it very well done; of course nose art was rare on "RAF" types. My favourite of the 428 batch was aircraft S, "Sugar's Blues"...A worthwhile website to check with regard to RCAF Lancasters is the Nanton Lancaster Society site. The Nanton museum is remarkable--small town in Alberta, the collection includes Lancaster, Blenheim--ie. Bolingbroke--and CF-100 airframes among others, and they also possess the hulks of
over twenty Ansons! Their URL is:
www.lexicom.ab.ca/~nanton/nanton.html
Quite informative about their own collection--and I'm sure they could put you on the trail of "Vicious Virgin" and quite a few other art-bedecked Lancs besides...
