'Scatterbrain Kid' should return its P-38M rear fuselage to the Champlin's example from which it was traded. AFAIK there is only one surviving P-38M night fighter in the world and it resides with the Champlin (BMOF) collection. I still have visions of someone (hopefully the Museum of Flight) restoring this plane back to its former night fighter glory. The all-black Lightning with radome and second seat would make for one hell of a unique display.
Even further, it would be exceptional to see a dedicated US night fighter display including P-38M, P-61, F4U-5N, F6F-5N, P-82(N?). Talk about a premier collection of ultra rare warbirds with a fresh theme :)
