......and you didn't hear back? Well fancy that....-lol

The Cassutt, U and i KNOW u wanna be hanging that bad boy block off the front end.Insurance? you only live once Jim!

As regards the bill. I think, as long as the House of Representatives has members who either flew, had fathers or Grandpappys that operated in hostile skies, be it WW2, Korea or RVN then it will get defeated. Now the inital panic and hysteria has abated somewhat, I think they realise, that a cropsprayer poses more of a threat than a P51.
Especially, when in some States, you can buy some outrageous ordanance over the counter. But hang on, isn't it enshrined in the constitution, that it is the right of every American to bear arms?

You see, back in 1776, when we decided to let you win, because we had bigger fish to fry, (David Irving eat your heart out)it was an offence, for minutemen not to have their weapons prepared for use at all times.
Now, a warbird per se, is still an arm or weapon, so, don't you have a right, to bear that Mustang/P38/P47/P40/A26 in an operable state, should u need to be called? I appreciate I am leaning the mixture ever so slightly here, but I am sure some legal eagle, can either shoot holes in my arguement, or think, "mmmmmmm he's got something there"

Chris, where are u? :0)

If there were 20 p51B's in China, then the bloke hauling that P40 out of a sewer there, would certainly be thinking, well, this will fund my trouble and then some....

So, until we find out otherwise, let's just assume it was some sort of "In joke" (pronounced cruel hoax)

On the subject of MR. David Gilmour (I am not worthy to speak his name) is there any danger, we can get him to come say a few words about his warbird owning experiences?

Personally, i want to hear about the getting drunk and totalling hotel bedrooms.
