Ah, Tulio...if only for the good old days. I still enjoy Anoka, but go back just 7-8 years ago and the Twin Cities area had Wally Fisk's Polar Flight Museum, Bob Pond's Planes of Fame East, and The S. Minnesota Wing-CAF's aircraft all within a 20 minute drive of each other. Thanks for the memories!
If a "mecca" is where warbirds go in large numbers, I still believe either Oshkosh or Midland achieves the greatest quantity. If a "mecca" is where you find warbirds roosting year-round, then I think the USAFM in Dayton, Ohio takes top honors.
