OK Guys,
We know that a major restoration company have been saying that they believe most substantial Spitfire raw material is used up, so they will produce essentially 'reproductions' in future.
Now there is already a market in 'new build' Mustang fuselages as again most major raw material used up. Also the latest Hurricanes are being registered from IDs of crashed examples..
The reason for this is that the combined knowledge of how to build all these types has been essentially 're-learned'. There is nothing except maybe the engines that cannot be re-created.. I believe that with the work on the P-40's going on at the moment. This will soon reach the 'A-List'.. Are there any others types out there that will soon be on this list.. I was thinking maybe the Corsair what do you guys think?
And if you had a B-List and C-List what would you stick the major types in?
I am NOT meaning what aircraft you think should be in A List, B List or C List of aircaft. I am specifically saying in the ease of restorations based on putting wind beneath the wings (excluding money and time of course) because most of what needs to be learned has been learned....
