Well, perhaps I may seem insensitive as well, but many many aircraft are rebuilt following fatal accidents, not to mention aircraft actually involved in wartime exercises, which have supplied parts, or components substantial or otherwise. While this aircraft was damaged a relatively short time ago, this does not change the fact that it is no different than those previously mentioned, so what makes it any different? is there an appropriate time that the airframe must be left before work is carried out? perhaps it should be placed in a jungle/ desert/ mountainous area for a while in the open, then recovered and rebuilt, of course I am merely illustrating the point, but rebuilding the aircraft does not in any way tarnish the memory of two fine people who obviously loved vintage aircraft, it simply will allow more people to enjoy the sights and sounds of these marvellous machines.
Respectfully, Pete
