I picked this up off Air-Britain e-group...
Another posting off the BAPC EGroup which seems to be in "our" territory. Can anyone provide the information?
I strongly doubt that a Flamingo nose section survicves in a "private" collection - never heard of this - has anyone?

I hav a requuest for help
We would like if possible for you to obtain some informations on
general De Gaulle flight Bordeaux to London on June 17 1940
we suppose that he used a Flamingo from RAF
We had some information about a Flamingo nose section that shuld be
preserved in a private museum in UK probably R 2764
can you find the place aand crew name if possible
Some documents should exist in Public Record Office in KEW
We need ORB of Squadron 24 for 16-17-18 June 1940
Hendon operation 11-16-17-18 June 1940 (ref RA F Hendon Air Series 359)
Croydon operation 16-17 18 June 1940 (ref RAF Croydon Air series 178)
and copy of air accident report of 30 April 1942 at Great Ouseburn York
crash of Flamingo R2764
Those informations will finalise De Gaulle escape story to London
as there is some contest about type of airplane used for this flight
wish you can succed this would be a great help for us
very best to yu and thanks for possible help
JM Daniel
