I would say the value of a Hurricane project would be nil, other than the historic value of course.

I once read that someone described a Hurricane project as 8 tea chests full of small parts. The rest needs to be made from scratch. For instance the steel tubing needs replacement, the spars needs renewing, reskinning. What's left of the original wreck after restoration?

I have the book on the restoration of the AFC Hurricane and if you look at the photo's of the wreck before restoration it would have been better to display it as is, because almost anything was newly made.

I would love to see as many Hurricanes being restored if possible and a whole squadron flying for a film on the BoB in a decade time would be fantastic, but I cannot believe that a collection of rusted steel tubing and remains of a wings would be worth a fortune.
