Restoration projects in Maryland, DC and Virginia

Are there any warbird restoration projects going on in the Washington Dc and Virgina area that anyone knows about? I really would like to volunteer just to be around the aircraft, I heard about an me-109 that was going to be restored in Staunton Virgina but, to flying condition, but I've heard nothing of it. If anyone has any information please email me or post a message. Thank You
