Yes, so I?ve heard (read). I?ve also heard (read) that Rolls-Royce won?t do another conversion even if someone was to bring a Shack engine and the cash. They call it liability laws.
The thing about 58-banks on 60-series Griffons is probably due to the same reason as "transport"-banks on Merlins, more reliable.
